The intent of the Hematology Clinic is to:

  • To provide coordinated care with obstetrical and hematology teams
  • To advance the care of pregnant patients with hematological conditions by initiating and participating in research and developing an environment for educating future physicians
  • Liaise with community physicians to optimise care at peripheral sites

Hematology Clinic Referrals

All referrals are to be faxed to 416-586-5176.

Please include all hematological and obstetrical notes and laboratory investigations with the referral.

Visiting our Clinics

Our clinics are located on the 3rd floor in the Ontario Power Generator building located at 700 University. During your clinic appointment you will be assessed by nurses, resident physicians, the hematologist and obstetrician.  You will have blood drawn and potentially an ultrasound at the same visit.

The physicians in the Hematology Clinic initiate and support research to optimize the care of pregnant patients with hematological conditions. You will be approached for 1 or more research initiatives aimed to advance the knowledge and care of pregnant patients with hematological conditions.

Please note that Mount Sinai Hospital is a teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Toronto. Accordingly, there may be delays of 1-2 hours in these clinics.
